We took 5th place at the Kingco 3A championships. Congratulations to the following wrestlers who advanced to the Regional tournament which will be held at Liberty High School on Saturday February 13th.
Individual placers:
Cody Treddenbarger – 1st at 285 pounds;
Phuoc Nguyen – 2nd at 1-3 pounds;
Danny Baba – 2nd at 119 pounds;
Logan McCallum – 2nd at 171 pounds;
Jonathan Iwazaki – 3rd at 112 pounds;
Michael Przystupa – 3rd at 145 pounds;
Alternate: Jake McCornack – 4th at 160 pounds.
Our wrestlers will face the top 5 placers of the Metro district. Jake, as a 4th place finisher, is an alternate. That means he will prepare as if he will wrestle, because he will replace anyone in his weight class who doesn’t qualify for whatever reason (missing weight, sickness, skin issue, grades, etc.)
